Castle Rock

This place is amazing! The views are breathtaking !

This park seems really good for those like hiking, great for beginner hikers, the trails aren't too challenging! Getting higher in elevation, you see a vast ( and endless) array of trees, lots of trees, very large rocks as you continue through the trails.

It's a great state park with some good trails and a chance to get close to nature.

Terrain is very mixed. Ups, downs, redwoods, oaks, rocks,streams.

Mission Peak

This was my first hike with mission peak in fremont, CA.  When we arrived at the spot, I noticed that parking was hard to find. We had to park in the neighborhood about 1/2 mile away.
We started at about 9am. The hike is all uphill ! It was beautiful and sunny by the time we reached the peak! It took us about 2.5 hrs to finish the hike. There are lots of people on the trail...This hike is challenging and you will feel accomplished when you reach the summit.

This is truly a gem in the bay area.

It is one of the best vista points in the east bay.

The hills are green after several days of rain.

There are cows here and there on the path !

Shoreline Park & Lake

This place is amazing. You have a lake, a golf course, a cafe, biking/walking trails, a dog park, a kite flying area and lots of wild life. Shoreline connects to Palo Alto Baylands and Sunnyvale Baylands, so a great place to start exploring miles of the bay shore.

There are all kinds of trails you can take.

The grounds and the wildlife never seem to stop amazing us.

 It is a lovely park to run/bike on the trail.
